How to mount your tv to the wall!
Today I’m going to show you how to mount your tv to the wall and hide the cords. We finally got around to mounting our TV on the wall this weekend. Mounting your tv to the wall and hiding all the cords is fairly straight-forward. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial.

To tackle this project you will need a few supplies. Some obvious, some not so much.
Shopping list:
- Recessed in-wall cable management system
- Power drill
- Various drill bits
- A small level
- Steel Fish Tape
- Stud Finder
- Tilt Wall Mount bracket for your tv
- A flat-screen TV
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to mount your tv onto your wall.
step 1- First thing you need to do is buy a mounting kit.
a) Open the box to make sure you have all hardware, no damages!
b) If you have a fireplace, mounting your TV above it is a popular spot for mounting since it’s generally a focal point of the room.
c) Located an outlet.
d)Located the wall studs using a stud finder.
Step 2: Attach brackets to the back of the TV.
a)We laid the TV face down and attached the brackets.
b)Remove the stand from the TV.
Step 3- Mark and drill your pilot holes.
These are the small holes that will allow your mounting screws to enter the wall. You’ll probably want a partner for this.
a) Hold the mount up to the wall. Use a level to make sure it’s straight.
b) Using a pencil, make light marks where you’ll drill the holes to attach it to the wall.
c) Attach a bit to your drill, and drill holes where you marked using the mount
Step 4- Attach the mounting bracket to the wall.
a)Hold your mount to the wall and drill the mounting screws into the pilot holes you made in the previous step..
These are the small holes that will allow your mounting screws to enter the wall. You’ll probably want a partner for this.
Step 5 – Mount your TV to the wall
This is the final step!
a)Grab your partner again, as this can be tricky to do alone.
b)Lift the TV carefully—with your legs, not your back! We don’t want any injuries ruining the fun here.
c) Line the mounting arm or plate on the TV up with the bracket on the wall and connect them following the manufacturer’s instructions. This can vary from one mount to the next, so always read the instructions.
